Photo Help:

To make a very large (15’ x 15’) photo mosaic, the quality of the photographs that are submitted is very important. Here are a few hints and requirements that will help ensure that your veteran’s image is presented nicely in the final mosaic.

If you have trouble uploading your picture or are unsure of its quality, please bring your image to the EarlyWorks Children’s Museum and we will be happy to assist you with the process.

Requirements:

Requirements

  •   Pictures that are of an individual will work best.
  •   Images of Veterans in uniform are preferred. Color or black and white pictures will work.
  •   As in the sample above, pictures of the vet from chest to head will reproduce best in the final mosaic.
  •   All images must be saved as a Jpeg. Use the veteran’s last name, first name, and middle initial as the file name (example: Doe_John_V )
  •   If you have difficulty uploading your photo online, you may take the photo to be scanned EarlyWorks or Southerland’s Photo.

The Patriot’s
Pathway Initiative

The goal of this initiative is to create and maintain an esthetically pleasing and educational public access walkway between the grounds of the Historic Huntsville Depot and the Madison County Veteran’s Memorial.

On Veteran’s Day 2013 the Historic Huntsville Depot dedicated the Gothic Guild Patriot’s Gateway. The gateway officially connects the grounds of the Historic Huntsville Depot to the Madison County Veteran’s Memorial Park. Now visitors can walk from the Depot to the Veteran’s Memorial and learn from the seven educational kiosks that make up the Patriot’s Pathway.

The Patriot’s Mosaic Project is a primary element of the Pathway Initiative, and will help ensure an aesthetically pleasing transition for all those choosing to access the Veteran’s Memorial via the Pathway.
